Khubris

One to rule those lost to others. A god to the fallen.

Probably the most misunderstood of all the gods, Khubris is feared by most and loved by few.   Being the god of the dead, few people hold any love for Khubris. And yet, after millennia, Khubris still stays true to his task of judging the dead to see who are worthy of entering Valheim, and who will end up drifting into the void until the end of time.   Khubris is also ruler over Valheim and sits on the throne of one of the large halls found on the plane of existence. As ruler of Valheim, he sees himself as the primary servant of Valheim and tends to all its needs himself. He is the first one that you meet when reach Valheim and he judges your life to see if you are worthy of entering the afterlife. Khubris would also tend to the gardens of the dead as well as to the plains of war where fallen warriors practice their warfare until the end of time. He can also be found in the brew house, tending to the delicious brews in Valheim   Khubris does also does not shy away from gathering the dead directly from other planes. He is most commonly seen as a black dog with glowing red eyes who just appears in the corner of your eye. Many black puppies with bloodshot eyes have been killed through the years in fear that they are Khubris incarnate, although little evidence of this exists. It is also rumoured that he sometimes appears as a hunched man in scrappy grey rags with a face shaped like a leather crow's beak and glass circles where there should be eyes. Rumours of this appearance are scarce though, and many believe that if you have the misfortune of peering into the glass eyes your time in this world has passed.

Appearance

Valheim

  He appears mostly human.
He has the body and legs of a human.
His strong arms end in large claws of four fingers each.
In his right hand is a set of keys, presumably to the secrets of life and death itself.
In his left hand is a large staff, tipped with the blade of a khopesh.
On his back is a large pair of raven wings that allow him to travel swiftly over his lands.
His short kilt ends just above the knee revealing strong legs.
His powerful torso is wrapped in black leather armour.
His face is where his humanity fades the most. A leather mask in the shape of a crow's beak covers the lower half of his face, while the upper half has deep, sunken eyes. His headdress wraps around to his shoulders with the top crown adorned by the head of a snake.

Eraba

Few things invoke fear quite like the depictions of Khubris when he visits Erabe, the Material Plane.
To some he appears as a large, shaggy black dog or wolf with glowing red eyes. Some even claim that there is only one eye in the centre of its forehead.
To others he appears as a man hulking over his walking stick dressed in grey rags. Should you be so unfortunate to gaze upon his face, you will not live long. His face is a leathery mask of a crow's beak with dark glass circles where the eyes should be.
