The contents of
Alchemist's Supplies include two glass beakers, a metal frame to hold a beaker in place over an open flame, a glass stirring rod, a small mortar and pestle, and a pouch of common alchemical ingredients including salt, distilled alcohol, powdered iron, and purified water.
If the player has found themselves in a suitable place to support this, in possession of a recipe and a combination of ingredients that can be refined into something, they can make an Alchemy attempt, which are equivalent to
Rituals.
When a player would like to craft a potion, poison or other solution, they would announce it to their DM. This process takes a specified amount of time depending on the recipe. A succesful Alchemy attempt results in a single vial(dose) of paste, powder, or liquid.
Recipes can be found on the
Alchemy Chart.
Alchemy check = DC of 10 + DC Difficulty of the recipe
Alchemy Modifier = WIS or INT Modifier (+ Proficiency Bonus if using
Alchemist Supplies you’re proficient with).
If the roll is successful the Alchemy attempt is a success and 1 vial(dose) or equivalent is made.
To process more ingredients it would take the same ritual process.
