The building is four-stories tall and contains 24 apartments for rent at $60 per month. The apartments are spacious (three-rooms), well-appointed, and comfortable, with hot and cold running water, a bathroom, a kitchen sink, an icebox, and a four-burner gas stove with oven. The building’s superintendent lives on-site in an apartment on the first floor and, thus, maintenance and general order is excellent and timely.
Notable Folk
Jimmy Fassbender, 37, is the building’s superintendent, and lives with wife, Miriam, on-site.

Strangeness
An observant visitor may notice the carved limestone figures flanking the entranceway—two armored knights, one bearing a mace, the other a sword. Both stand on a pedestal upon which is carved an inscription, although the script is wholly unfamiliar, even to expert linguists. If anyone asks Jimmy Fassbender about them, all he can say is that the building’s owner purchased them at auction around 24 months ago and had them fitted to the entrance.
