Urlashnaurukshuk (warhorse)

The Urlashnaurukshuk is an Aurukshukan breed of warhorse. It's massive, fast, strong, tough and endurant. It is comparable to the French Trotter from the real world but taller, more elegant and with larger nostrils. These are the best warhorses one could hope to find. They make very fast cataphracts because they aren't slowed down so much by the weight of the armor, and they are bred to be less skittish and easier to train.
This horse breed was created by the Aurukshukan to act as a fast cataphract. Once Aurukshuk and Shayanaha united they shared the horses among them. During Berlintini I's Great War of Coalition, Arquado Barbarossa's forces captured all of Eldanfan the Outcast's warhorses which included over 2,000 stallions as well as mares and foals and used them to breed their own stock of warhorses. As they bred them, they could afford to to use some for their elite cataphracts and they have had these warhorses ever since.

Weapons & Armament

An armored cataphract armed with a lance, mace, sword, shield and dagger. The mace can be swapped for a warhammer and it can replace the lance. The sword is usually used as a backup like the the dagger. The momentum of the horse's charge makes the use of a lance, mace or warhammer devastating.

Armor and defense

An armor kit of lamelar scales or maille is put on the horse to protect it. It also includes a metal plate for the front of the head as well as crisscrossed steel rods to protect the eyes. the armor reaches about 30 cm of the ground in the front and around the front legs and about 15 cm below the abdomen around the rest of the horse's body. It provides excellent protection.
