Berinus Dynasty

The Berinus dynasty was the first dynasty of the Berini Empire. It's founder, Mario I of Berin (also known as Mario Berinus) successfully rebelled against the Kingdom of Berin and changed the governance system to the imperial system which slightly restricted his power and his stature and made him look very appealing in the eyes of his people. He then conquered and united a lot of the Berini tribes and states along the Berinus river. He and his descendants may have been decent rulers who kept their imperial subjects safe and happy (If you exclude the last three), but they had an unquenchable thirst for military power and conquering new lands. They measured their own greatness by the amount of kings they brought to their knees. This behavior is what caused their downfall.

The result was a slow but steady stagnation of the empire's utilities which got worse when the emperor started campaigning. By the time of his death, the empire was in pretty bad shape and his son made things worse.
