That button toggles on/off the little pens behind each item link inside the article. But it's not working properly. I can toggle the pens off, page reload, the pens show up again, toggle the button into the other state... reload, pens still/again visible. I do not want to see these pens, ever. :) I tried cleaning all cookies, that didn't help.
Same OS and browser, but it works for me. They do appear for a bit then disappear when it's toggled off so could be some weird logic of removing them after, instead of not rendering them in the first place. Perhaps we could both send world links so the devs could find the difference? (but I do think it's going to be css difference)
The delay after loading is because the info is stored in a cookie, which is loaded after the website is rendered for the first time. On my end it works fine as well. Do you still have this behaviour? Do you allow cookies for World Anvil?
So several people said they have this, too. So maybe still someone can think about it for a minute if they changed something that might influence this toggle?
This is present for me, and I use Windows and Firefox. It's an issue where the toggle will say it's off (red) but the pens are still showing up for me after a reload. It takes a couple reloads and a toggle or two to fix it for me. I hope this extra info helps!
I also am constantly battling The Pens.
It affects me rather inconsistently as well, but it affects me often enough to bug the hell out of me!
