No matter what I do, I cannot delete images in the Chronicles Images Manager. If I click delete it removes it during just that session, with a toast and its related mini "countdown bar" showing to claim I successfully deleted the image. It does disappear from the list of images for that time. However, returning to the Chronicle, refreshing/reloading, or hard reloading/refreshing (CTRL + F5) shows the images as still there, as if I had never deleted them.
1. Upload image to a new map, then replace image with a new image (or replace an already-existing map image with a new image). 2. Ensure that the map is using the new image. 3. Go to Images Manager via the side menu in Chronicles. 4. Click the trash-can icon on old map (either through the overall "gallery" there, or by searching for it from the list, it doesn't matter). 5. Observe that the image is claimed to be deleted, with toast prompting successful delete. 6. Observe that the image no longer can be found by searching, and no longer appears in the "gallery" view. 7. Refresh browser, reload chronicle, or close tab and reopen. 8. Observe that the previously confirmed deleted image is still in the "gallery"/is stills searchable, and can even be used to swap a map back to it as an image.
I've reproduced this and confirmed this issue.
I've discovered the reason for this. I'm working on a fix. Basically, the system we use to store Chronicle images updated without my knowledge, and the command to delete images has changed fundamentally. I'm looking into updating this!
This should now be resolved!
I have confirmed that I am able to delete previous maps.
