While booting up Chronicles, if I am streaming, downloading, video-calling, etc., the Chronicle ends up "hanging" on loading images. Typically, it is able to load the first map/landing page, but afterwards it will not load the rest of the maps (however, it will still "take you to them" as if the image was loaded, noted by the pins/markers changing position as well as the interactable dimension, as well as skewing/stretching whatever image the landing page had). What I have discovered is this happens regardless of network traffic load. Streaming music/media (even at low qualities), heavy downloads, voice calling or video calling, it all halts the loading process equally. Once that network load is paused/lifted, the Chronicle will load almost immediately. I can only assume this is because of some sort of back-end trying to acquire resources but is unable to have them allocated, and this it gets stuck forever "waiting." (To specify browser: I use Opera GX, but the same issue is observed on Google Chrome; it appears to not be browser-independent)
1. Run any type of network load/internet load (I recommend testing it across several applications/websites/media). 2. Open Chronicles. 3. Observe initial load. The initial page appears to receive a lion's share of the initial network/bandwidth allocation and should be visible (this also varies). 4. Observe images and other maps fail to load or only partially load. 5. Observe that changing maps skews/distorts/transforms the initially loaded map, and any pins/markers on the second map (as well as dimensions) are conformed to, but map is partially loaded/unloaded. 6. Refresh page. Observe similar or same load-state. 7. Pause or stop network load (i.e. pausing video/halting download/disconnecting call/etc.) 8. Observe all maps and images begin to load (if it does not, a refresh may be required).
hello there :) Is there a way we can have access to that chronicle so we can check this out?
Absolutely, apologies. I will make it public for the time being. The link is: https://www.worldanvil.com/w/tales-from-aumelamar-thepocketgm/chronicle/chronicles-of-aumelamar-chronicle
