The Heir counts the following skills as career skills: Resilience , Stealth , Vigilance , Melee: light , Charm , Romance , Knowledge: politics , Knowledge: geography . Before spending experience during character creation, a Heir may choose four of their career skills and gain one rank in each of them.
The heir has the Ascend To Power downtime action, which can be vetoed by the Leader. It must be used in the Faction Capital of the Faction. Of course, some still ascend by force…
