Actions

Beak. Melee Weapon Attack: +3 to hit, reach 5ft., one target. Hit: 1d6 piercing damage

Claws. Melee Weapon Attack: +3 to hit, reach 5ft., one target. Hit: 2d4 slashing damage

Double Action. The dire laughing gull can perform 2 melee attacks, or 1 melee attack and 1 other action during its turn.

Dire Loud Laughter. Once per turn, the dire laughing gull can use an action to have a creature within 50ft make a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, the affected creature takes 2d6 sonic damage and becomes taunted until the end of its next turn. On a successful save, the affected creature takes half damage and is not taunted. A taunted creature only attacks this creature, ignoring all other enemies for the duration of the taunting. The targeted creature must be capable of hearing for this feature to take effect.

Flock of Seagulls. The dire laughing gull can summon 1d8 laughing gulls during its turn. Roll 60% or better to recharge this ability.

A dire laughing gull is several times bigger than their standard counterparts. Consequently, their cry is louder and more offputting. Their plumage mirrors that of a standard laughing gull.

Suggested Environments

Dire laughing gulls are almost exclusively found near ocean shores. Their egos typically mean that no more than 2 or 3 can be found in any given flock of seagulls.
