The Queen of Ants

its a beautiful day to got hunting. After taking out some worker ants the previous day, the Runebreakers decided to go hunt down an ant queen instead of just taking out the workers. The group meets up at the guild hall in the morning. After meeting up, they head off, where Artemis and Pax expertly track down the hive. Once we reach the entrance, Artemis disappears into the trees as the rest of the party approaches the hive along the ant's path to try and see if she can do any big spells to help take them out. Unfortunately, there was not a good opportunity for such spells. Instead, she charges in, spear first. They successfully take out the two guard ants, and single worker ant that were outside of the hive.
 
After collecting the trophy's needed as proof of kill, they cautiously make their way into the ant tunnels. They encounter two workers within the entrance tunnel,, and upon deeper exploration, the Runebreakers encounter two more guards and six more workers. The ants are dispatched with relative ease. The group took a short break to patch up wounds before cautiously continuing deeper into the nest. The group come across a larger cavern, encountering another group of ants that quickly get dispatched by the team before delving deeper.
 
The group continues to encounter entkigs through the tunnels, until they finally reach the final chamber where the queen resides. It was a hard fight. The queen was able to take down Kaladar. In an attempt to save her cousin, Artemis runs in to administer first aid. This left her open to a hit from a worker ant that was able to land a devastating hit, knocking her out and causing serious bleeding. Panicking, Kalanar and Ang work together to finally take down the Queen to save Artemis' life while Kaladar removes the worker from existence.
 
With the final ant defeated, first aid is administered to Artemis, who awakens. After taking a moment to bandage up wounds, the party swiftly returns to town with their trophies. They turn them in to the guard in charge of the ant clearing, who is surprised when a queen ant's head is handed over. The party collects their reward and retires for the night.
