Research: Gloom Stalker

Report: Leathers made from Gloom Stalker hide retain shadow properties. Likely structure of the hide imbued directly with magics rather than active generation by the creature. Genetics could prove valuable addition to stealth applications.

Research: New floating Hirudinea species

Report: Report of a burrowing "Flying Snake" species that inhabit Runetongue in the center of Cressaro. Snake would be a misleading label as the descriptions are closer to land leeches. From description given by "Ravash" they are prone to consuming a lighter than air mineral found in the mine after kobold crystal gathering operations. This gives them buoyancy that they seem to be able to control the flight via an electrical charge that they generate. Caution should be taken as they have tendency to explode when under pain/stress. Supposedly the cut flesh emits unpleasant odors and if bifurcated the halves seem to operate independently.

Journal: The meeting with the dwarf prompted a conversation about the knowledge god Skrelendar and his great library. Kar'El seems to know a significant amount about Skrelendar of which I would have guessed that he would be a follower of the Izzet's god. I did have to correct a few points of how to access the great library. Portal gates at other libraries, trade of knowledge for knowledge, ect.
The next morning was the first Friday of the month which meant the town free meal at the tavern. The place was packed, but the food was worth the wait. I would recommend Lady Sordaze's meals to any that pass through Lightning Catch. The only issue is I find myself going through my next stage of evolution. Normally this poses little problems for us guardians, but I do not have the privacy I would have liked from non guild at this time. I am just glad that my additions are of the more concealable option, I just wish the process wasn't so itchy.
After our meal I joined this group to our next task, escorting a mining group out to get resources from Runetongue. Kar'El went to buy a net for the operation as requested by An-Core. He had went along to meet the escorted and confirm our involvement.
We came to meet Ravash, a dunamancer, a gravitation wizard. He had requested our help to gather lighter than air minerals. The net would be needed. He also made mention of a peculiar creature that inhabits the area. I have seen little records of this species and will have to secure a live specimen for the guild. By the sound of it they seemed to have adapted very recently to the presence of the material and avoidance of kobolds as kobolds can be vicious predators. We left for the mine shortly after Kar'El took an interest to the materials even going so far as to mention the Izzet god of which Ravash had been trying to get his attention. I however was wanting to see the "snakes" and asked Kar'El for help in the alchemic arts to create some sedatives. I am more for the physical trauma to see the resistances and healing properties, but if they do tend to explode in stressful situations getting one back alive could prove problematic.
