New Companions

I was always told that I was special. Well not always. Only since I came Home, and never in the placating “oh my boy is so special”, kind of way.
 
Mother really meant it. I came to believe it too, in time. She said everything that made me... well, me, gave me a unique perspective. One that was wholly something that only I could offer.
 
I see this more so than ever now with my new companions. Each of them so very unique. I have so much to learn from them.
 
Eversong, Without sight. And yet she sees the truth of a person.
 
Tear, without words. And yet he communicates with more conviction than many I have known.
 
August, of story and song. What could they teach me of the world I so long ago left?
 
Issac, limited not by body nor mind. I look forward to what we will create together.
 
Kes, guarded. And yet one of the most open people I’ve met.
 
Adria, such raw power beneath the surface. A force of nature, to be sure.
 
And then there is me. What do I have to offer to these new friends, I wonder?
