Safe arrival in Halorus confirmed: Landed in Hyguard, capital of the Alenian empire. We are currently residing at a local inn (Milk & Cow) and are planning on exploring the city under the guise of tourists. Hyguard has extreme temperatures during the daytime, nearing 500 F. This inn we reside at offers beverages that aid with the climate, but not enough to manage midday heat. Many building are using a magic called 'Technomancy' in order to maintain temperatures inside buildings. There is a local college of great renown that may provide some more information about this new form of magic. I suspect that adding this technomancy to our repertoires will be essential in our journeys here. I communicated with proprietor of the in and learned that some people in this world are known as 'Inept', where they can perform mundane forms of magic and nothing more. We are currently about to rest until the night so that we may explore the city properly.
