Making Bonds

Strahd disappears with Valsira telling us "evil" is outside. Ismark shows us to our rooms. I gather items for tomorrow's burial of the Burgeomaster. I cannot begrudge the children their inability to plan or do anything for the funeral. But as my footsteps walk these halls I will hold the rites that should be held for a man who seems to have done much to protect his family.
 
I sleep a little better in that bed than I have in weeks outside. Odd with so much "evil" outside. I wake early and gather Lanya. I make some burial rites for the Burgeomaster (but I don't overdo it). I close the lid, polish the coffin as best as I can, and smudged incense over it.
 
We meet Father Donovan who seems to be not all there/concerned for his son in the undercroft. One problem at a time though. We bury the Burgeomaster. We go back to Father Donovan and he says that we will need to go the Abbey of Saint Markvovian in Kresik for a cure for his son. The Morninglord and Night Deity and this chapel worships. The people believe the Morninglord has forsaken them in this place.
 
Blaire says she saw herself swinging from the tree. She is very upset but none of us see it/saw it. She brings out her knife to protect herself and we carry on.
 
We come across a group wearing tracksuits, listening to music in a camp. It's becoming nightfall and we should probably camp here.
 
1) (Blair looks uneasy at this) A woman hangs above a roaring fire. Find her and you'll find the treasure.
2) Your greatest ally will be a wizard. His mind is broken but his spells are strong.
3) She lurks alone in the darkness where a morning light once shown, sacred place.
 
These mean nothing to me. Perhaps illumination will come in time.
