Making Mistakes

We travel on as we make our way closer to Vallaki. Fomal hears a mewling sound from a cave and we go to investigate. I go inside but there seems to be a pile of kittens there. I don't believe it. I tried to disbelieve the magic but they are real. Valsira runs into the cave and the kitten she picks up attacks her. I think it's just Karma but alas it is not. I kill one and then we run as this is a fight that is more a childish prank than anything. Valsira somehow got one to like her, for now. It is a gift from Strahd. Red bow and all.
 
We get to Vallaki were Valsira and Fomal try to hide the new kitten. The guards warn Valsira but let her through into the city with the cat.
 
There is an inn with a silver raven on the sign/building. This is an inn and we'll start here first to find a good place for Ireena. Hopefully a safe place. Then I can be on my way to find the young daughter, Gertrude.
 
Fomal talks to the barkeep and their shipment of Wizards of Wine winery is past due. It's been 3 weeks and the barkeep suggests that perhaps Fomal can be hired to investigate the issue. Fomal ask for the direction of the winery.
 
The Festival of the Blazing Sun will be held in the town square in 3 days. The Burgeomaster in the town keeps pushing for the appearance of happiness in the town. They seem to be obsessed with appearance of happiness and festivals.
 
Strahd visits me in my dream and I dislike it. She talks a lot in very flowery words. I talk to her about protection and safety to those you rule and she gives points about how people are safe. It is chilling in it's truth. I feel that some people here are much safer than they would be where I am from. What does that mean? Strahd cannot be good and yet the people living here are LIVING. She offers me a job, to fight in her army and meet her in Ravenloft. I am tongue tied and can do nothing but simply stare until the dream, or nightmare, is over. Did I agree to this? I don't know.
 
I wish it had been a dream of my family instead.
 
The next morning arrives. Fomal wakes me up and tells me his goddess warned him of the bad dreams. I tell him I had one and we decide to talk about it later. We talk to Ismark and Ireena and for the most part I am mute as I follow Fomal. We got paid from Ismark, 200 gold pieces a piece.
 
We will need to ask the bar tender how far the Winery is and pinpoint it on the map to make our way on that job, should we finish taking it.
