A New Beginning?

We explored the Citrine Mines north of Ruden today. We encountered some odd, acidic, exploding creatures. Vander, a new companion, filled with a drive to search for truth got hurt prety bad. My new found poiwers seemed to protect him from death, but Sav, a person who has never been in the real world, couldn't even help heal Vander.

I don't understand my new companions. They say they drink blood, but then refuse to drink blood of one that is alive because they are alive only to later not want to drink blood from the same person after I killed them? Sav's reason was because "it wasn't fresh"!

Oh and today is my first full day a year older.
