Ruins

We started to head bast, but had to stop at the ruins south of town. Vander seemed really attached to a flag he made out of a potato sack. This being on the group and ratfolk being gone sent us to an outpost of ratfolk where I thought Vander, Hal, and Sav wanted to subjugate the ratfolk. But instead they killed the ratfolk and disabled the human rat king. When pressed, they decided to kill the king.
 
I am trying to figure them out. I think they are lost souls wondering around aimlessly. I am starting to think Demit brought them to me to give them direction much like children lost in the woods.
