An interesting start

Well tonight was, something. After getting back from a job I went to the 'on the road' tavern with the rest of my party like we usually do. Not really on the road but I dig the theme they go for. Anyways I saw a new face sitting by her lonesome and decided to introduce myself. That was, embarrassing. Well perhaps horrifying is a more apt term for what I met tonight. The dreaded Cybil, the slayer of magi, the butcher of the arcane. Did not expect to ever meet her one day. In fact I was taking great efforts to avoid ever being in the same city, much less the same room, as her. I know for a fact that if it weren't for the others I would have either bolted back in fear of her or attempted something rather rash and stupid. Not sure how well Freya would appreciate me letting her go with only an angry comment but enough said there.

She introduced herself to the group and tried to assume leadership after learning that our band had no leader to speak of. I voiced my concern about that, my less than amused concern. I get that she was very good at leading the barbarian witch hunts back home but I am not about to take orders from that monster. No matter how sound they may be. Although, I am rather surprised she became so feared to begin with. I was under the impression that Lealon didn't appreciate non-humans especially ones with wings. Guess I could be wrong about that.

After drinking a bit too much milk for the evening, largely to try and get through that conversation. Although it was mostly Cybil and Yitoshk doing the talking. He seemed more pissed than I was while she was strangely mellow about the whole ordeal. Anyways Kasvaar gave us a mission to seek out some turtle man for questioning, although I'm pretty sure he's willing to give the guy a job. Not sure what for exactly but a turtle man might be strong enough to shrug off a lot of hate from potential enemies. Before heading to bed though I made sure to ask Pepper for some food for the journey. Either I'm loosing my touch or she's messing with me because I had to explain in detail that I wanted rations for the road before leaving tomorrow. That only made my night worse but at least I was able to sort that out relatively quickly. After making that deal I-

Anyways, apparently Yitoshk still doesn't appreciate my music box. The man has no real love for magic so I can't say I'm shocked but damn. How could one dislike the soothing song I was playing? I'm hitting the sack after this. Hope I don't forget anything with my headache tomorrow.

So, I forgot some things. Namely a bed roll and tent. How in the blazes did I forget a freaking bedroll? At least the trees here are rather nice to sleep in. Didn't appreciate Conrad pulling my tail though. Yanked on it so hard I thought I was about to get torn out of my perch in the tree. I get we needed a night watch but what the hell? The day was largely uneventful though. The salted meat was decent enough at least. Had a bit of a run in with a farmer's house I think. Nothing really of note there unlike the strange tracks we found when reaching our campsite. Yitoshk isn't too bad to hang out with though. A bit blunt but alright. At least I don't need to watch him for anything.

Ashe is up to her usual stick though. Poked Yitoshk with her invisible mage hand spell before flicking him on the face. That was kind of funny. Did confuse Pepper a bit more with some an illusion to make it look like we had a pile of silver coins, only for Ashe to 'disintegrate them almost quickly afterwards. Still, at least our band is some fun to be around these days. Not sure how She's going to work out yet but Robert would be furious with me if he learned I was casting unjust blame upon her for actions She didn't commit. Doesn't mean I'm not keeping an eye on Her though.

Just hope I can make up for my mistakes in the end.
