[Coded Transmission: Natah Du'Kense]
Dearest Maris,
It seems wherever I go, failure follows. In my wake I leave behind the remnants of two Imperial bases, on two planets. It is a great undertaking that none of this has affected my father. He doesn’t know. I have changed aliases so many times, changed my appearance, lied, killed. Machinations of how to clear my name fill every waking moment. There is no rest.
The two newcomers I told you about before have left. Kaveri too. I’m unsure of where Lurkesh has gone. The rest I presume dead in the explosion of our ship. I didn’t cause it, but I didn’t prevent it either.
The objective of this transmission, despite the above paragraphs, isn’t about past woes. I find myself filled with a new purpose, a new mission that I dare not send in a coded message. There will be many who oppose me,but they will fall like chaff in the wind. I am stronger. And with that new strength I can feel that you are alive (however distantly). I am proud of you. For you to have survived the rigors of The Empire means my aspirations for you were not displaced. That, my sweet Maris, is something I did not fail in.
We will create the galaxy we dreamed about in our long talks by the lake.
Until we meet again,
Natah Du’Kense
