We found a journal note written over the last 3 months. My interpretation is that they had “silver shards” that they were trying to turn green and they were successful once they had something from captives (blood? Skull?) and were referred to as seeds. I think these green crystals were stuck in living things to turn them into these monsters.
 
We found a flask that was still brewing and produced a green crystal from black ichor. We kept it, still in flask.
