Was minding my own business, doing contracts. Found one for a werewolf, that slain two young people on a date night. Mayor of HENLANDYR requested this.
It is fullmoon.
I went to it's house. Beet farm besides the house, it looked tidy and nice.´I knocked on the door, an elderly lady had opened.
I told I'm looking for a werewolf, she told me she knows none. She was acting suspicious, so I asked to come inside.
There was a silver sword, and shackles in her house, I knew something was off.
She was a nice old lady. gave me beet soup, it was great.
When I mentioned it's fullmoon she rushed me out. I looked at her notes on the table, all about lycantropy.
She confessed. The shackles were silvered. She'd restrain herself every fullmoon not to hurt others.
I knew there is still a chance to cure lycatropy. She told me he's been born a lycantrope.
I explained to her it's impossible to cure. She said she can't control it the older she gets.
Then started to transform into a werewolf.
Every blow.
Every blow I gave her felt like a stab in the heart.
She had a good life. Shunned and called a monster by people. Werewolfs suffer when hungry.
All the suffering she went through and got killed for 2 deaths.
Was it fair? Was it good?
Leave the lady be and risk more deaths, or kill her and have a king murder the same ammount of people for swearing in front of them?
Noone gets to decide what's good and what's not. I did my best at my job. I kept the barrier between the world of monsters and the world of people.
