Session 1: The Sad tale of Gregory & Kyle

It was time for the monthly meet up with Dr Raine and Thomas, just the monthly how-do-you-do and check in. Make sure they're all alive. We met up in the box at the Pigeons ground and Thomas had brought a little surprise for us, an old man called Gregory who has been freshly turned into Kindred by someone unknown. Great, the mages will be pissed. We three have a tentative hold on the town as is being the only kindred and Thomas barely counts as a thinblood! We sussed out that he's a bit of a serial killer in the mortal world and used to meet up with people off the Tinders or the Grinders and then kill them, well turns out one of the people he met, someone called 'Big Lips Lover Boy 69' or something like that was actually kindred, and turned him.
 
So now we have this to deal with! We figured that it'd been a while since he fed and we discussed our feeding habits, mentioned about not killing humans as much as possible so as to remain hidden and that when he was mortal, murdering someone is different to murdering and draining them. He didn't believe us around the mages and inquisition finding out but he got the gist. He is just a grumpy old man and didn't want to believe we were older and wiser than he was but he was willing to listen. We decided that we'd all go and feed and then meet back up and go see Uncle Archie, he runs the local underworld and is in the know, we've known him respectively as one of Dr. Raine's patients and his family have worked for me at various times.
 
I think Gregory got under my skin a little as when I went to feed from Sydney I nearly lost it, I could feel the rage building in me and I had to really dig deep to control myself. I think Sydney's going to be off work for a while, I'll have to check in with his mum, make sure he's ok. I managed to not kill him, just. Bit troubling that one...
 
Anyway, after that we got to Archie's house, he's not long for this world and said he'd put some feelers out about this new kindred, he mentioned something about the lover boy killer? ...while he did that he wanted us to go collect one of the boys who was just being released from prison called Kyle. We went and picked him up with Jolly-Joe driving. Turns out Kyle was doing time for holding up some post-offices on behalf of Archie, but he's been released for good behaviour and wants to go into youth outreach, bless him. Born again! Anyway, we get him back to Archie's and Archie pulls a gun on him. Turns out two other of Archie's boys have been pulled and looks like Kyle has turned snitch. Archie was going to kill him in compensation.
 
I managed to with Dr. Raine talk him out of that, although Gregory offered to murder him on Archie's behalf. We reminded him that in fact Archie is the pawn all along and we've been here quietly in the background, unfortunately that revelation had the effect of straight up causing him to have a heart attack. Archie was going to die then and there were it not for the swift actions of Dr. Raine who managed to bring him back from the brink with some expert medical work. I reminded Archie that ultimately we control life and death. Archie now understands.
 
It was at this point that Archie's minder interupted us to show us a video on the Snapchats, looks like Gregory's sire has popped up in the north of town by the barracks having been hit by a car. We're about to race off and catch up with him...
