Session 3: The Court of Pompous Arses

Well, warning the mages was probably a good idea. We went to one of their conjunctions of conferences to see what was what. On one side of the room were the new kids, it was all plastics and rubber and latex, I swear I thought I was at one of those dodgy-parties. The other side of the room, much more refined, more tweed, more decent dress code. But they are all mages, and I don’t trust them as far as I can throw them.
 
They also had one of those homoncules things, a promethean? Some kind of stitch work woman... Barbaric. But it would seem two issues were at play tonight, the fate of her and the fate of us. It looks like thinbloods ghoul the detective from the police was here as well… he knows Gregory I think.
 
I got chatting with Douglas the mage liaison, turns out he’s the leader of Iteration X, which seems to be the faction of modern mages. He wanted that promethean deleted entirely. I think that means killed… I wasn’t listening. I was too busy sticking the knife in with his lieutenants to try and get one over on him. I think the good Doctor picked up on it too as we tag-teamed a little bit. Needless to say he was a little pissed off, but we got him to agree that he’d support us if we got rid of the promethean.
 
Gregory continued to antagonise everyone, we made a point of reminding him we have a peace to keep and on balance that may beat our need to keep him alive. Either way we’re good.
 
The other faction, who are the old farts like me, wanted to keep the promethean, or at least keep it from being deleted. Needless to say we had a bit of a heated discussion about it and we very nearly ended up getting dusted...but reason won out. The good doctor got a new pet and we got access to a ‘Mage kill team’ whatever that is.
 
On leaving the discussion we were met by the copper that Thomas had been grooming since birth. Yea, he pulled a taser on us...
