We wake early and decide our best course of action is to split up and gather the information we need for our current jobs so we can begin our search for Ilda Rain. The Vagrant, Mister Lux and Mister Nureski head to the temple to identify the priest we need to speak to, Mister Hopfoot, Seraph and Myself head to the lumberyard to gather information on the missing ranger.
We met a firbolg named Seqoiah who gave us some details on the forest and the route Ilda would have most likely taken on his exploration. Seraph made a copy of the map we were shown and noted the locations to avoid.
The others seemed to have done some of their job, however I think Mister Lux may have revealed too much of our hand, questioning him about getting extra sleep tokens and even giving him the name Crayford. We shall have to hope he doesn’t flee while we are away, and when we return we may have to jump right into investigating the priest.
We meet in the market and purchase supplies for our journey, including some meat packs from the Dried Hoof Butchery which will ensure we are well fed while we trek through the forest.
I don’t think the exploration into the forest even crossed my mind, but as I walked further in, I realised how uncomfortable it made me, it’s like the opposite of what I am used to. Yea both the ocean and the forest are dangerous, but the ocean you have visual, here I can hardly see 10 feet in any direction, it’s unnerving.
The weirdest thing about our exploration so far I think has to be the cottage. I suppose I expect people to live anywhere but a single lone female out in the forest doesn’t sit right with me, especially one supposedly as dangerous as this one. She seemed friendly enough and even sold us a few potions, but I still don’t completely trust her.
We stumbled into a grove of some nature deity, a place we were told was very dangerous by Seqoiah, and for some reason people decided to enter (I really question the intelligence of this group) LUCKILY, nothing was trodden on or picked and we continued on our way until we made camp.
6th Sunwane
We took turns on watch, it was an uneventful night thank Aquas, we woke and once again continued to follow the ridge until we discovered a discarded satchel and a lot of foot prints…
