Hey Ma!
I thought of writing a journal so I don't have to send you letters back and forth. Please read this to Pa too.
I stayed in the city to look after a shop where some stuff gets stolen at night. The shopkeeper is weird, his lemur kept following me before we even met. But don't worry! My colleagues from the wedding gig are here too, and I met two Dryads! Do you know what they are? They're like living trees, but they don't like to be called that.
There's Dulrak, the most experienced of us. He eats all he finds.
Miss Rosalynd, she's sometimes cheery sometimes weird but she fights well and I like her.
Gwyn is a student (I think), he's pretty smart.
And miss June and her brother Oak, the dryads. They're trying to find poachers who attacked their forest.
Anyway.
I had another seizure apparently. I can't remember what happened after I asked around about the thief. Wasn't it supposed to get better?
When I was keeping watch last night the thief came back. It was a ashen halfling wearing a straw hat and a half mask with a grin and you know what? It wasn't even the strangest thing: we couldn't really hit it! Miss June tried to close the window on it but it escaped like a ghost and stole a diamond with a symbol engraved on it.
