"The" Krozen. It is unknown whether or not there are many, have been many, or it is all the same entity. Never seeming to need sleep, never seen eating or resting, and never seen outside of his armor, the Krozen is a silent bodyguard to the king. Rumors abound, but seers and nobles alike either cannot find the truth, or will not reveal it.
 
Some of the rumors in no particular order, The Krozen are a order of fanatical paladins, sworn to the crown. The Krozen is a animated suit of armor. The Krozen is whoever the king has handy at a given time. The Krozen is the spirit of the first King, who returns to protect his kingdom.
 
It is whispered that less-than-worthy kings have made false Krozen's to appear worthy.
 
The Krozen has been a fixture off-and-on since the founding of the Kingdom of Gorundia. A pattern that is clear to those in the know, is that the Krozen will serve Kings that hold true to Heironeous' values and show great personal valor. They will abandon Kings and Queens unworthy of their guardianship.
 
During the Grand Tournament dedicating Bard's Gate as a Free City, an attempt was made by agents of the Warlord of the Forest's fanatics, Krozen stepped in the path of a Balista bolt, dead center, knocking him from his saddle. He sat up, cut the shaft free from the front of him and returned to his station, with the business end of a balista bolt protruding from his back.
