The Baroness of Shawcross Hold in the Khanate of Emeristan Came into power after father abdicated as a Baron Keeps a firm but loving rule over Shawcross Hold

Rowena-Laurine Shawcross (born 2985) was born in a noble birth to parents Edouard LeMathieu and Clelia-Rowena Shawcross in the city of Shawcross Hold. As a young child, Rowena would love to play out in the forests of Gerin-Lajoie. Under the watchful eye of her tutor, Jean Maulenov, she would play for hours among the trees, grass, and flowers of the Parish. Well-off as a student under Jean, she took well to the status and nature of being the reigining family of the town. In her early teens, a conspiracy was found by Jean that her father had ties with the Khan of Gozothistan to usurp Khan Nicolas Boudon. As many were outraged at Edouard's actions, Rowena took to the forest on her own to find solace and answers. 
 
Calling out to anything that would answer her, a raven landed in front of her. Puzzled, she reached her hand out to the raven whom instantly jumped to her arm working its way up her shoulder. After a brief befriending of the raven, she claims it whispered to her things that she refuses to disclose to anyone - even Jean. Coming back to Shawcross Hold and taking the seat as Baronness, Rowena became known as the Raven Queen to the townsfolk. Ruling since 2996, Rowena is found most days around her keep, tending to daily work. She often visits town to converse with guardsmen, commonfolk, and shopkeeps to gauge the state of her city. She holds a seat at the High Table of the Herolutions guild, in her words, "...simply to make sure the city's best interests are met."
