Personal history

Taken in as an orphan by a disciple of Hoar seeking an apprentice, Algurol was raised with the strict code of the god of retribution. His adoptive father, Amnon, was a bounty hunter and wanderer, never staying in any city very long and focused entirely on carrying out his god's work. He was a superstitious and paranoid man, being equal parts brutal and nurturing. Life was not easy for either of them.
As Algurol learned the trade of his adoptive father, he learned that he could connect to Hoar in a way even his master could not. Drawing power from his god, Algurol became a lone paladin of Hoar and a bounty hunter in his own right. The two operated together for many years until the death of Amnon at the hands of demonic reinforcements summoned by a target they had hunted. Algurol has harbored a hatred for demons ever since, driving him to counter the chaos they sow and further strengthening his belief in the creed: An eye for an eye.
Due to this lifestyle, Algurol's people skills are largely limited to cutthroat business dealings and intimidation. His only real friends are three loyal followers of the teachings of Hoar, people that Amnon had helped in some way or another that run the clerical side of the bounty hunting practice:
-Flannec, an older man who was born a slave was freed by Amnon. Flannec pledged his life to Amnon and, after Amnon's death, to Algurol. He is pragmatic and even tempered.
-Natalia was an old flame of Amnon's and provided a counterpoint to his oftentimes brutish nature. She is strong willed and slow to anger, but terrifyingly wrathful when provoked. Weak of body, she is the face of the business and often smooths relations with employers that would have otherwise sought more refined bounty hunters. The closest thing Algurol has to a mother.
-Desebera is a young dwarf girl, an orphan much like Algurol. After Amnon's death, Algurol took her in as his own apprentice, though she is quite young and not yet ready to accompany her master on the job.
 
Since the death of his master, Algurol has continued to operate as a bail bondsman and bounty hunter.
