Raised on a small farm, Kibbeth is a shy young woman who is determined to fix the mistakes of her grandmother, and discover what truly happened all those years ago.

I am the daughter of Theyne, who was the daughter of Renna. I have spent my life on Beechlocke farm which is on the outskirts of Northstead. All the members of my family have passed now, from some illness that I seem to have escaped. My mother died when I was very young, and I barely remember her now.

Growing up with grandmother Renna was not easy. She was prone to fits of rage, breaking everything around her, or bouts of depression, becoming near catatonic. Despite this, she never once laid a hand on me. I did become very good at mending injuries though, because she would often hurt herself accidentally while she was wrecking the place.
 
On her better days she would tell me wonderful tales of her two best friends, Grayden and Norven. How Grayden would follow his curiosity anywhere, and how often it would lead them into trouble. Of Norven and his thirst for revenge, and how he was always restless, unwilling to stay still for more than a few days. She told me that they had many happy adventures together until they decided as a group to retire and live happy, settled lives.
 
However, on one drunken evening grandmother lost control. She ranted and screamed at me about how she had let them down, and how her stubbornness had failed the world. When she finally sobered up, she pretended it had never happened. Now, when she told me stories, I started noticing small changes, and other discrepancies. But before I had a chance to confront her, she took ill and died.
 
Ever since, I’ve been preparing. I sold our animals and boarded our house up. I found some armour in the attic, and a mace and shield. Now I’m ready to head into to town and discover the truth, no matter what it takes.
