When she was 16, she had a crush on a local boy named Jonan. Jonan and his friends pranked Rana, by leading her to the pond, and telling her that Jonan would kiss her if she closed her eyes. She did so, excitedly waiting for her first kiss. Sadly, instead of Jonan kissing her, he placed a frog against her lips. Ever since that incident, she's been called Frogkisser by the less kind villagers of Settlerslog.

Rana loves nature, growing things, exploring the woods, and helping those around her. She has a weakness for sweetarts, and a warm mug of tea.
 
Rana dislikes dishonesty, laziness and turnips (the turnips with a burning passion. Her parents once made her eat a plateful, and wouldn't let her leave until it was all gone.)
