Bright, young, patient, and agile, Emil is a trained stablemaster who has been assigned by the Magistrate of Woodfare to accompany the group to take care of their horses. He believes that he is apprenticing to Felix as a wizard.

Emil Stablemaster was trained at Castle Nalkon, where he served as a stableboy until he was given to the Heroes of Woodfare to care for their horses. At first he was frightened by this, but he has grown to trust the group and even admires Clayton and Felix (whom he believes he is now an apprentice wizard to).
Emil was fairly happy to be promoted to a stablemaster position, even though it is kind of a lowly position, none-the-less. Still, it is better than stableboy. In his travels with with Felix, his quick wits and learning were noticed, so he was given some preliminary testing regarding possible talent as a wizard. He surprised Felix! Thus his new ambition is to become a wizard and travel as a hero, like those he is with now.
