Appearance

Physical Description

Short and scrawny. Doesn't seem like he'd pack much of a punch at a glance, but he's made the fact that he's always underestimated work rather in his favour, because he is definitely able to cause some damage with just his fists. His small size also makes him quite fast on his feet.

Body Features

A nipple ring, a somewhat hairy chest, and a lot of tattoos, both light and ink. His favourite is the light tattoo on the very bottom of his abdomen, "This Machine Kills Fascists". A new favourite is the light tattoo on his hand, depicting a skeletal Virgin Mary, with dates and a letter added on the joining fingers.

Facial Features

Pierced right nostril, multiple earrings in both ears. Very thick lashes and brows, and some neatly kept facial hair is a very new addition - no one in the crew even got to see stubble before. Often sports some pretty dark under-eye circles.

Physical quirks

Flex still doesn't entirely get the appeal of Chrome, and had no interest in getting anything done himself. He will never confess the complete circumstances behind the Cyberarm he showed up with one day out of the blue.

Apparel & Accessories

He is most at home in generic chic, usually wearing combat boots and a leather jacket, dark jeans, and graphic tees either with political messaging or ironic designs. He is always ready to don his mirrorshades, and used to have a nice little retro hat that he was fond of, but that seems to have gone missing. Sometimes wears a crucifix around his neck, which is a good indication of where he is mentally.

Privately educated, and made it more than halfway through a degree in Business and Communication before he skipped town.

At this point, it's a lot. Too much to list. To keep it short, he no longer just carries a long list of heartbreaks, he also thinks himself a monster.

Coming out at 14, Flex was convinced he was gay until he met his first girlfriend at 19. Now he is an out-and-proud pansexual, but one with a romantic preference for men, and sexual preference for women, even if he's not entirely aware of those biases. It's a moot point anyway, as he is currently determined to live his best fuckboy life; one-night stands only, and no second nights, ever. Personal rule, babe. Those one-night stands do, however, get chased on a weekly basis without fail. He is definitely partial to a bit of kink.

Vices & Personality flaws

A remarkably high tolerance for the right alcohol makes him a dangerous addition to any night out, but the sad truth is that he has gotten too friendly with rum, tequila, and cervezas, ever since splitting from his band. He is not yet what one might consider an alcoholic, but he is certainly walking the path, using it as a crutch to get him through the rough patches of unfulfillment and self-loathing that dominates so many working artists in NC.
 
He's quite the hedonist, and coupled with obsessive tendencies and an anxious streak, he is a prime candidate for addiction. He thought he knew himself and his own history, but recent events have forced him to reconsider, that maybe, just maybe, he's been addicted far worse than he realised. Rare are the days where you find him completely sober, and he is stubbornly and excessively dishonest about his own mental health, and nowhere near as subtle about it as he thinks. He hates anything that can link him to his former life of lazy wealth, and will happily lie to keep those parts of his history, or anything else that doesn't fit his public image, hidden away.

Personality Quirks

When stressing out or nervous, he will often go into flirt-mode, hitting on the source of his discomfort and going heavy on the innuendos. Another sign that a situation is getting to him is when he starts to refer to himself as "The Flex" in conversation. Who knows how it started, but it has proven very successful at grounding him and reminding him that Flex is, end of the day, a character he acts as, and as simple as that is, it helps to calm him down.

Gideon Graves: Flex has sworn an oath to hunt and murder this man, whom he used to think of as a friend. He will not rest until the deed is done.
 
Vergil Martìnez: Flex revered the slightly older Vergil when they were children and would follow him around like a happy puppy eager to make him his friend. It sadly wasn't meant to be, until Vergil took his bullying too far and ended up with a bottle to the face, and everyone involved somehow laughed the whole thing off together. Ever since then, Vergil and the Reyes siblings were the tightest trio in town, and Flex and Vergil in particular considered each other inseparable brothers. To this day it remains the most meaningful friendship Flex has ever had.
 
The Crew: Out of everyone who's been on the scene so far, Flex respects Splice the most, by far, and hurting aside, thought they had a genuine understanding of each other. It helps that Vergil Martìnez has indirectly vouched for the former Medtech. Flex cares an awful lot about Dodge, who he's been friends with for about a year, but due to recent events have realised how much she was hiding from him. He still mourns her, though. He likes Klyuch, if nothing else the Tech is entertaining, but has a hard time seeing a sincere connection there. However, he did stand by Flex when the Legion business went down, and that will go a long way where Flex is concerned, even if their values are turning out completely different. He remains indifferent towards Castor, as they've barely met, and every encounter bordered on mutual antagonism.
 
Kerry Eurodyne: Flex has a lot of things to say about Kerry - and none of them kind. Nemesis, traitor, sellout, faker, and eternal disappointment are just some of the adjectives Flex has been known to throw around when discussing the superstar, and his resentment truly seems to know no end. What he never says out loud is the fact that Kerry was Flex's first big celebrity crush and his biggest inspiration for taking the Rockerboy role. Sure, he'll say it's Johnny Silverhand, but doesn't everyone who tries to make it in this biz? The truth is, he'd never had the courage to chase his silly dream if Kerry hadn't been there, paving the way. Which is really what makes the current trajectory of Eurodyne so infuriating: Corporate sponsorships, arena tours, limousines, wife and kids in a fucking mansion, and worst of all, completely abandoning the good fight while making big bucks off of Samurai. If Silverhand was still around, he'd be the first to spit in Kerry's face and everyone knows it. The whole thing just feels like a personal insult.

Family Ties

Mutual disowning all around, even if it seems his mother did not quite let go after all, and is in fact paying way too much to have a PI keep tabs on him. Refusing to accept that his son could be attracted to other men, his father, Ramón, hasn't spoken a word to him in over 11 years - his mother, Tove, always played both sides, making no effort to hide that she stood by her husband in this matter, yet continued to try and guide Flex's life with an iron grip. She reached a breaking point when Flex dropped out of business school and ran away to Night City, finally deeming him a lost cause. He only ever received one message from her; don't come back - and he has always taken her at her word.
 
Relations with his twin sister, Bianca, were maintained for a while, but even that burned hard when she decided to follow the family footsteps up the corporate ladder. Lots of grudges on all sides. While he will occasionally feel quite lonely, his familial background fills him with contempt more than loss. They're all purebred beavers and proud of it, choosing appearances over all else and are perfect exemplifications of everything wrong with the world; everything Flex wants to fight against. In other words, no, even if invited back, he wouldn't go.

Religious Views

Flex was raised strictly Catholic, but clocked pretty young that he was destined for hell no matter what he did, and the whole thing kind of lost its appeal after that. Still, nothing instills guilt like the Catholic church, and the instinct to confess and repent will still rear its head whenever he's feeling particularly low.
