Personal history
My earliest memories of my childhood are clouded over by the stench of blood, death, and fear. My parents’ smiles and warmth faded as the years went by and were replaced by a distinct feeling of longing and forgotten sadness. The only thing I know for sure is that I’ll never forget the cold feel of my mother’s and father’s faces and the look in my twin brothers eyes as he was ripped away from me. My brother and I thrashed desperately in the arms of the strangers as my hand slipped from his. We were carried in opposite directions without being able to look back at each other for the last time. In that moment I made myself a promise: I would do everything in my power to find and rescue my twin brother, even if it costs me my life.

After I was placed with a dwarf family:
When I was about 5, I made a dwarf friend who told me I was the mailman’s kid and, for nearly a month, we told everyone we talked to that my dad was actually the mailman. It’s safe to say we both had quite serious talks with our parents.
I’ve been mistakenly arrested several times because I’m often confused with a wanted criminal named Loot.
When I was 13, some giant purple dude with a wrinkly chin tried to kidnap me but I was saved by a traveler named Bark. Bark taught me all about weapons and fighting and he became one of my closest companions. A few years later, I told Bark about my tragic childhood memories and about my lost twin brother. Bark helped me gather information and resources and we set off together. While traveling to one of Bark’s most promising informants, we ran into a group of dangerous criminals. I managed to escape from them, but Bark wasn’t so lucky. Now on my own, I decided to continue the journey to find Bark’s informant.
While searching for Bark’s informant, I picked up a few odd bounty hunter jobs to make some money for my journey. On my 3rd job, I met someone named Pocket Possum. She turned out to be Bark’s promising informant. She took me under her wing when she learned what happened to Bark. For nearly 3 years, I helped Pocket with her jobs while we checked out leads for my brother. On one job, Pocket and I found a merchant who claimed to have heard about one of my kind who joined the Kathiawar Brigadiers.
This caused great sadness for me because it meant that I had to leave Pocket behind to chase down the leads. I had enjoyed working with Pocket the past few years. We said our goodbyes and I became a soldier. I promised Pocket that I would return as soon as I found my brother.
After my time in the Kathiawar Brigadiers, I put aside my search for my twin brother. The leads about my brother enlisting in the military had turned out to be fake and I lost hope in finding him. I reunited with Pocket in the Kingdom of Kathaar and learned that she had given up being a bounty hunter to join a group of local do-gooders (Patrons of the Provence). She told me about a possible adventure opportunity in Thalmor.
This made me realize that I have spent my whole life trying to find my brother instead of living it. In the small moments where I forgot about my promise to find my brother, I dreamed about using my fighting skills to help people.
Maybe one day I’ll be able to find my brother, but until then, I’ll join a group of adventurers and fighters and see what good I can do in the world.
