Calaitha Zurat is the Empress of the desert nation of Zakib. She manages the country's political moves, commands their military, and issues trade for the country. Calaitha rose to power after overthrowing her brother, Emperor Rolan Zurat, in the year 1986 AGJ after a proposed invasion of Novodelia put Zakib in jeopardy. Rolan Zurat was power hungry and sought to expand the empire to every continent in Kindevion through brutal force, so Calaitha murdered him and assumed the throne. It is not clear exactly how old Calaitha is, as Zakib's most talented doctors keep her young, but most estimates put her at around 46 years old.
