Name: Dante Lock’aihin
Title: Forth Son of the First Son/leader of House Lock'aihain
Species: Human Age: 21
Class: Trickster Cleric of Sune
Appearance: The very first thing anyone notices about Dante is, of course, the self propelled and opulent wheelchair he sits in. It resembles an elaborate armchair and is upholstered in gold velvet. Dante, if he could stand to his full height, would be 5’10. His hair, like all main line Lock’aihin’s, is pitch black and wavy, cut slightly long about his ears. His eyes are a light gray, and his face, while reasonably attractive, is somewhat gaunt. It’s plain to see that Dantès's body suffers from his illnesses. Any lines on his youthful face clearly show how often it contorts in pain behind closed doors. In public, on the other hand, he embodies at least some of his goddess’s ideals, ever one for compliments and match making, small smiles and chuckles gracing his drawn face. He can very often be found smoking. History: Ever since he was born, Dante has been sick. He was brought into the world with a curved spine and underdeveloped lungs, as well as a whole host of other more and less deadly ailments. His parents, the Heads of his Great house, were confident that his Uncle, the Master Cleric of their house, and the fourth son before him could heal him. That confidence quickly faded. With it, Dante lost his value to them, as anything more than a way to garner sympathy for their terminally ill child. At 6, he got more freedom and self confidence when the Family took on a new ward, Lucian Helverin, who became his personal aide. In the five years that Lucian was with him, Dante gained much Independence, at least in his thoughts and opinions. Even becoming the youngest 4th son to be blessed by Sune with powers at just 11. Unfortunately, not long after that, his parents informed him that Lucian was leaving for training, having been held back for far too long entertaining Dante’s neediness. (edited) 11:23 am The 7 years following, Dante was very, very rarely seen in public, apparently too ill to be out of the family castle. After turning 18, he re-entered society, determined not to be hidden and to have his place in the world as the 4th son, as is his birthright. Now that he is determined to travel, use his gifts to help others, and maybe cement himself a place in the world at large (separate from his family), Lucian has been reassigned to him. It’s awkward and once again brings forward feelings of guilt, but Dante is grateful for the familiarity on this new journey.
