Wess Smith grew up in the lawless boom town called WellSpring. The town was rough and riddled with crime. Eventually, a sickness took the town and many people died as a result. Wess' mother died and he moved to Coyote. Coyote was another boom town where chaos ruled.There he met Orianna. The two fell in love, but Wess realized Coyote was not a safe place for his beloved or potential family. So, he stepped up and began forcing people to tow the line. 10 years ago, this caused him to be elected sheriff and he has looked after the town ever since. Thanks to Wess, the town survived the end of the Gold Rush and even prospered.
