Personal history
Léon was a human born in a small town northeast of Nathlekh on the coast of the Lake of the Long Arm within the Gulthmere forest. It was a small tight-knit community where most people were farmers or craftsmen. A simple life however Léon and his family which consisted of his parents and two brothers were happy for the the first sixteen years of his life. It was not meant to be however, a few months into his sixteenth name day a red wizard of thay by the name of Lahnis began savaging villages in the nearby area, pillaging, kidnaping or killing everyone in the way of his undead horde. Eventually this horror visited Léon’s home, luckily or unluckily his family were among those that were kidnaped by the red wizard, the day they were taken was the last day Léon saw his family.
The next two years were a living hell for Léon, they tortured and experimented on him day in and day out. They began mutating his body, to the point that eventually he didn't even resemble a human anymore. Though he did not know it Léon was selected into the red wizards exploration of lycanthropy, he was investigating numerous ways of augmenting his undead army to make them an ultimate fighting force. Unlike other lycanthropes Léon eventually lost the ability to return to his human form, being stuck in the body of a beast twisted his mind, his humanity and sanity were lost to him becoming nothing more than than that of a feral animal.
Now a beast Léon has lost all traces of the person he once was, time and place were lost to him his mind being that of an animal, solely focused on survival. One day shortly after his two year anniversary of being captured the compound he was being held in was attacked by invaders looking for plunder, luckily for them the undead horde usually in place were elsewhere at the moment. They were unprepared for the horrors they found within, dozens of varying abominations being experiment on and hundreds of bodies piled together, possibly failed test subjects. Once they took their share of anything valuable they decided the most humane thing to do was burn the whole place down, during this process though some of the prisoners were accidentally set free and they began tearing down the pillegars, during the chaos Léon’s cage was somehow damaged open, he began ripping apart anyone that dared near him. After the fighting died down Léon escaped into the woods , lucky for him that was the last time he ever saw sight of the red wizard or any of his minions.
Léon spent the next six years roaming through the snakewood forest, hunting prey and surviving as the beast he now was. This came to an end one fateful day when he ran into a female elf druid names Thalia, an emerald enclave operative who had been in the vicinity accessing the state of the forest after a dragon cultist warband rampaged through the area a month earlier. She had been wondering off the path examining some animal prints when she saw Léon a few hundred feet down the cliff. Her curiosity was piqued immediately, he appeared to be a werewolf however it was unlike any she had ever seen. After following Léon for a mile through the woods, watching him, she suddenly stopped, She could tell he knew she was there, he was leading her into an inclosed burrow where escape would be difficult. This raised her curiosity even further, normal werewolves gone feral had lost all their former intelligence, becoming nothing more than a mindless beast. And yet here this one was, deceiving her and leading her into a trap. This settled it, she decided she had to take a closer look. Using her druidic magic she called upon the roots of the forest and they rose out to respond to her encircling Léon and tying him down. She then harmlessly knocked him out with a poisonous gas.
After examining Léon the elf to set up shop within the woods, this was too curious a find to leave behind. She spent months healing Léon at first physically but after some time mentally, her nature magic actually reversing his feral state and after some time Léon finally woke up from his long sleep. He was horrified at his new body as well as after hearing he had been gone for nearly eight years. Even with her powerful magic repairing Léon’s mind, his body was another matter however, the evil magic Léon was subjected to was simply too powerful to reverse. Léon was stuck as this abomination. After thanking Thalia as well as learning a few tricks to keep his mind in check Léon started to make his way home. He had to find his family, hoping beyond hope they had been spared the same fate he had.
