Appearance

Physical Description

Short, quick, and nimble, Alex moves adroitly around most spaces he's in. His hair is short-cropped and straw blonde, his eyes are bright green, and his narrow face is covered in freckles. He dresses in light leather armor, broken up at the joints for flexibility, and wields a broad polearm which usually has at least one banner or pennant trailing behind its head related to the teams he's joined up with at the time.

Body Features

Alex's frame is trim and athletic and he is known to bounce a little as he walks, keeping himself moving slightly more than is necessary, just to feel active when things are slow.

Facial Features

Alex's face is sharp and his eyes are bright. He keeps his hair short and drawn back so that it doesn't block his vision.

Identifying Characteristics

Alex rarely travels without a large banner attached to his Fauchard, which he uses simultaneously as a focus of his performance as a distraction for his enemies, and as a rallying point for his allies.

Alex is unusually short for a half-elf, in part from living for so many years on halfling cuisine, which he has grown to love dearly.

Alex wears light armor, opened at the joints for flexibility to allow for ease of acrobatic and dance maneuvers, and wields an extremely visible banner attached to a polearm.

Special abilities

Alex studies hard in an attempt to bridge the gap between his martial abilities, his bardic performances, and his magical healing abilities. He believes that there may be something unique to be discovered there in terms of how he can help people, but even if there is not, he believes that all are useful ways he can aid people and he'd rather not let one of them go unattended to.

Personal history

Small and suspicious, Alex was raised by the Button family of halflings near the Chelaxian border after they were all mutually rescued by Bellflowers from slave ship when Alex was a small child. Alex spent a great deal of time with them practicing their cooking and dancing for coins, and cares a great deal about trying local dishes everywhere they travel.

Education

Alex's education was very informal, traveling and learning from other local families of halflings and Bellflowers all around the coasts of Andoran and Cheliax as they evaded slave-catching hellknights. He has recently joined the Arcanimirium in the hopes of receiving a more formal magical education.

A lifetime of being prepared to flee from those who pursued their small adoptive family has Alex prepared to distrust nearly everyone until they give them good reason otherwise. They are far more willing to lend help than to receive it. He is suspicious, anxious, and jumpy.
