Personal history

As a young man Elgolor realized that his father had many visitors that were always wearing different patches on their cloaks. He asked his father about what was going on and why all the visitors all wore different patches but all seemed to all report to him and then he writes notes in his notebook. Elgolor then proceeded to ask his father about the happenings of the last few months and what all the notes that he's seen his father received pertained to. His father explains that he is the head of a spy ring that has been keeping tabs on the people of the coast line we inhabit. He then praises Elgolor for being astute and keen eyed and asked if Elgolor would like to join the organization. 
 
Elgolor accepts his father’s invite to join the organization and is told that it is The Watching Eyes. Elgolor starts his new position in the family business as a runner running messages around the city to each of the crime syndicates in the city along with members of the government. During one of his missions he receives information vital to the safety of the watching eyes. Elgolor rushed back to tell his father who he now knows is The Hundred-Eyed One, the head of the whole organization. Seeing as Elgolor made the connections that prevented the plot against them and brought it to his father, his father promoted him to a senior messenger running his own runners. 
 
When Elgolor receives an interesting request for him to come out and run a message for one of the mercenary groups, he meets an elder rogue who gives him a message just for The Hundred-Eyed One’s eyes only. The elder rogue also says this is the utmost importance go straight to him, no detours, no nothing. Then saying "If I find out you disobeyed me, I will find you and kill you." 
 
Upon returning the letter to his father his father looks at him very sternly and asks harshly who gave him this letter and how come he wasn’t using the chain of command. A young Elgolor looks concerned and says, "...grumpy old rogue I met at the syndicate I was at for another message from a runner. He stopped me and told me to run straight to you. I obliged and brought the message straight to you because the rogue said he’d kill me if I didn’t return right to you immediately." The Hundred Eye one looks his son in the face says, "Leave me, and summon the Dead Hands on your way out." After the chance meeting and the strange reaction from his father Elgolor returns to his room to study more about the cleric ways. Upon reading the ancient writings he seeks out a teacher to help him along his cleric path that won’t interfere with his job

Motivation

As one of the Dead Hands in the The Watching Eyes organization, I'm responsible for dealing out justice to those who harm a messenger, watcher or any other under protection of the Watching eyes. I've been searching for a wrong doer who has turned on one of our messengers and got them captured before I could get the information from him. He is being held in a undisclosed location. Its our goal as an organization to find out what he had to tell us about the location of the lost treasure he was going to tell us about
