Alfie is a straightforward, humble young man who spent most of his youth working on his family’s farm. He is sturdy from long days outdoors, with a warm, open face that betrays his uncomplicated heart. A cheerful disposition and easy smile define him, yet a hint of longing can be seen when he gazes toward the horizon, imagining a world beyond the fields he’s known all his life.
 
 

Early Life & Motivations:

Born in the southern fields of Ravengro, Alfie was raised by his mother, Kasama Bud, and surrounded by a makeshift family that included his younger sister Naiva, the formidable former adventurer Nainen, and neighbors like Elric Toplo. The Bud farm and the people who help run it form the center of Alfie’s universe. He grew up tinkering with rusty tools, dreaming of ways to improve the family’s lot. Though his mother tried to keep him sheltered, Alfie’s curiosity and a lingering desire for adventure—fueled by stories and youthful dreams—eventually stirred him to explore the wider world.
 
Alfie’s devotion to Erastil, the god of farming, community, and the hunt, arose naturally from his agrarian upbringing. As a cleric, he focuses on healing and protection, wanting to bring new skills and spells back home to support his family. While not seeking endless glory, Alfie hopes to earn enough gold to improve the farm and maybe secure a mechanical leg for his beloved grandmother. He sees adventure as both an opportunity and a risk: a chance to taste freedom and excitement, but one that might pull him too far from the fields he holds dear.
 
 

Friends & Family:

• Kasama Bud (Mother): A former paladin of Erastil turned farmer, Kasama raised Alfie with strong family values and a preference for quiet rural life over heroic escapades. She disapproves of his longing for adventure, hoping he’ll remain safe and close to home.


• Naiva Bud (Younger Sister): Thirteen and resourceful, Naiva handles chores inside the farmhouse and tends to the animals she adores. She worries that Alfie’s departure will leave a hole in their family.
