Graeta was once a feared and renowned dragonslayer. Or she would have been, had her adventuring career continued. Alas, it was not to be. She heard the mountain's song and was lured into the mountain pass, never to be seen again.

In the later months of 1844 Graeta and her team of heroes were dispatched from the Tamilir Adventurer's Guild to the Barony of Trast to deal with the Goblin problem. They made it to Whitemire before the onset of cold and decided to bunk in Haverford across the way. They had already skirmished with and killed a dozen or more bands of goblins and more had escaped from the attacks. In Whitemire they heard of the missing people, and when they investigated, they heard about it from Haverford too. Her mage ran off and got himself killed, his staff turned up in Haverford for sale, and her bard followed the seller and spied for her. The bard took an arrow in the butt for upseting a farmer, and she had to go take satisfaction - can't have a member of her team bested by a farmboy, after all.

Shockingly, she lost. Per the terms she left his land and promised never to attack him again. Then she found out how the mage died, and was stuck between honoring her comrade and keeping her word. Kharash the Outrider helped by offering to champion her in the fight against the farmer. The next thing she heard three weeks later was that Kharash was dead and buried in Whitemire and they had eaten his mount. Her investigation led her back to Whitemire with the bard Geiron, while the disciple went to kill the farmer and "burn him from the pages of history." She and Geiron continued to investigate, finally heading into the mountains together to follow the trail of the missing girls, convinced that the threat behind the Goblins was also behind the disappearances.
