When using his genasi powers to manipulate water there are faintly glowing wavy lines visible on his head and arms.

Physical quirks

As a water genasi River always looks like he just got out of a shower or is sweating. His face always has a sheen of water on it and water beads and runs down his head.

Travel worn leather armor and a gnarled stick of a staff that he uses as a walking stick and druidic focus.

Specialized Equipment

His traveling backpack has his bedroll fit to the top, a length of rope on the left side and his shield fitted to the back.

Mentality

Personal history

Raised on the banks of a river in a hut by his two water genasi parents. Left home to be a nomad at the age of 16. Traveled across the countryside through the forests and fields. As he traveled he communed with the wonders of nature that he found and befriended the folks called these places their homes. Spring turned to summer turned to fall and the years went by, River would occasionally pause his travels to help with a harvest or lend his strength to the construction of a home. His connection with nature grew deeper with time and his druidic powers bloomed. This allowed him to help those he met in different ways; healing the wounded or driving off an aggressive pack of wolves.

 
Late in the fall of his 26th year River was met with an event that would change his path in life. Night approached when passing by the outskirts of a town more crowed than he was comfortable with he noticed the horizon was illuminated. But not from the sunset. A fire had started in the towns granary, a catastrophe he was uniquely suited to help with. He went forth to help those off of his typical path. Manipulating water to put out the fire and healing those who were injured in the blaze. He worked himself to exhaustion that night and earned the everlasting gratitude of the townfolk.

Education

Growing up on the banks of a small river River learned the basics of wilderness survival and herbal medicine from his parents. During his years as a nomad he learned from the people he met; animal handling from farmers, medicine from woods witches, and cooking from housewives.

Morality & Philosophy

Calm and collected on the outside, River strives to do good for the people of the world. However, when presented with a clear evil or a problem to which there is no straightforward solution he can become possessed with natures rage.

Cash poor, but lives off of the wealth of the land. Bartering with those on the frontier to get essential goods occurs on a regular basis.

Family Ties

Both of Rivers parents are nomadic individuals as most water genasi are. They did spend 15 years in one place while they raised River, but returned to their nomadic lifestyle when River came of age.
 
Father: Brook - straightforward and pragmatic, a skilled hunter and outlander. Spent 2 weeks together 2 years ago.
 
Mother: Beck - good and honest, capricious at times, druid. Last seen 5 years ago. Was told by father that she was traveling the coast.

Very Spiritual. Meditates every morning as part of his routine(in sources of fresh water if he is able).
