Appearance

Physical Description

Braedeyn has a cat like structure, muscular enough to drive a dagger in someone's abdomen or kick someone's nose in but not bulky. Her years of training lead her develop a body built for speed and agility, putting some meat on her bones as she is rather thin from having an eating disorder though she is slowly gaining weight as she recovers.

Body Features

This rogue is covered in scars from the long struggle of her life. Some of her newer scars comprise of a burn wound on her shoulder, a bite mark next to it, a stab wound in her hip and chemical scarring one her left fight and the right side of her ribs. Some of her older scars are a slash diagonally across the center of her chest, and three gash marks on her back and arm. She also gained a tattoo of a fox paw and lions paw over her heart as well as a phrase in Thalassian under her left breast that she refuses to translate to common.

Facial Features

An angular face with round features on it, her eyes could almost be described as doe-like if they weren't stuck in a permanent scowl all the time. The most prominent feature on her face- were it not hidden by her hair, is a large void-infected burn wound that covers the upper half of the right side of her face. Despite this large blemish Braedeyn appears just as attractive as any other elf.

Identifying Characteristics

The best way to find this rogue is to look for a black leather mask, she can normally be seen wearing it and refuses to take it off in public. She also has long, thick sapphire hair that she struggles to keep tame.

Physical quirks

Braedeyn, when nervous, will tug on her mask or tighten it around her face. She also makes a habit of pulling on her armor or shifting her weight from one leg to the next. Her ear twitches when she feels something is off and she'll avoid eye contact if she feels the social situation is too intense.

Apparel & Accessories

Braedeyn normally can be found her leather armor- if she is out of it, you can bet she isn't happy about it. She wears normally purple-blue gear to compliment her void-afflictions that have affected her physical appearance. Her gear covers most of her body, only a few sections of her skin is exposed and she dislikes being out of her armor, especially if she does not have her mask on. Her clothing is built so that she may hide and ungodly amount of blades on her person at all times.
She has Two Dagger sets:

• A set of Draconic blades that were primarily created to secret venom that were stored in the handle


• Cursed Blades housing multiple spirits of the deceased that has granted Braedeyn some spectral abilities.

Special abilities

Braedeyn has the following abilities:

• Stealth - Normally it would be through her understanding of perception and how to manipulate it in order to seem invisible, though she's developed other abilities to help with this as well.


• Lock picking- She can open most doors and disarm most traps, though she carries special equipment to help unlock magically sealed locks.


• Ebonstrike -When injured the void energies will seep out of Braedeyn's wounds, this allows her to use them in her next attack by infusing them into her blades, unfortunately it causes the wound to leave a permanent scar.


• Poison/Envenom- She has an array of toxins that allow her hits to have an extra bite when striking them. In more subtle missions it allows allows her to take a target out without coming into physical contact.

• Commune with the Dead- Her ties to the spirits in the blade allow Braedeyn to see and hear from their realm of existence; Good for investigations, bad for peace of mind.


• Phase-Shift- The ghosts, at Braedeyn's will, can pull her into their realm, allowing her to walk among the living unseen and unheard.


• Cry of the Damned- When stabbed by the blades the ghosts the living can also witness the dead, their wails and grotesque visage can send most into panic.

Mentality

Personal history

Braedeyn was born a twin into a dirt poor household, their father worked as a carpenter and their mother worked in Silvermoon as a seamstress both of these jobs allowed them to keep their small home, and keep their daughters fed. Though even with both parents working they needed some help, luckily Braenda and Braedeyn were up to the task, both girls were clever enough to hunt and gather to at least put food on the table and their mother would use the furs to sell in the market.
 
Despite rarely seeing her parents due to their work schedule, Braedeyn had a happy family life, when her parents were home they spent every second with each other. When her parents were away she still had her twin sister, Braenda. Braedeyn even as a child was a secluded individual but that was because in her mind, her sister was the only person she needed. She didn't need to find a best friend, she was born with one.
 
Though trouble in paradise hit when their father was pulled into the military in order to bring in extra income to cover their house after their landlord increased the price to cover his luxurious life style. Of course it ended poorly, the father did not have a fighter's spirit in him, he was a gentle man, when he returned home he was crippled from the waist down, unable to move his legs. This lead to Braenda and Braedeyn signing up for the Farstrider Program despite their now adverse view of the nobility. They never thought they'd get in, considering their only experience with weapons was hunting, but they both shown enough promise to be excepted.
 
First day on the job and Arthas broke down the walls, for once her poor background saved her life- or at least her families. Their home was so rundown and broken that the dead over looked it, thinking that no one could live there. Her family was safe, for now. The paranoia of this happening again lead Braedeyn to Umbric, despite her love ones's adversity to him, and thus she joined his band of elves and their radical ideas. This is also where she got exiled and abandoned by her family.
 
The years following was Braedeyn joining the Alliance, and using her talents with a blade to slit any noble throat that had a price on it. To avoid jail time she would run favors for the notorious SI:7 and that was life for awhile...til she found a little organization called The Ashen Sun Accord.

Education

Braedeyn has very limited formal education, most of the basic knowledge she has was taught by her parents (when they had the time) or the Farstriders, who gave her a military-grade education.
When it comes her experience as a rogue, it was taught through trial and error on the field as well as taking a few lessons from other people in the field who were friendly enough to show her the ropes.
After getting the funds for it, she began buying any textbook she could find to make up for the lack of an education as a child.

Employment

She originally worked as a Farstrider, after getting exiled, she became an assassin, specifically working for nobility to kill other nobility, she became The Ashen Sun Accord's interrogator, then she became a Spymaster who bounty hunts on the side.

Failures & Embarrassments

Braedeyn goes through phases of shame for her life as an Assassin, finding it hard to believe she deserves all the friends she made and opportunities she's been given by TASA.
 
Her relationship with Kain Sunblade, a ranger she thought she fell in love with and was engaged too during her time training to be a Farstrider. It ended in heart break, he shot an explosive arrow at her eye, it mostly missed it's mark but left a ghastly scar as a permanent reminder.
 
Braedeyn led a mission that ended with the Accord killing void-corrupted campers, she still has yet to forgive herself to putting them through that.
 
Braedeyn also encouraged a fellow member to seek revenge against an ex, she assisted in the act but it ended with the member feeling guilty- which Brae now shares.

Mental Trauma

Braedeyn has dealt with depression since she was young, it wasn't necessarily brought on by anything she can remember at least.
 
After being exiled and assumed ostracized by her family Braedeyn developed a general anxiety disorder which lead to her to stop eating thus developing anorexia as well.
 
Her life as an Assassin lead to her to become emotionally with drawn, showing lack of empathy in most cases. Her shame from those years doesn't come from feeling guilty about the murders, it's from the lack of guilt itself.

Intellectual Characteristics

Despite not having a formal education Braedeyn is very intelligent, she picks up new skills easily and is a visual learner. Most of her understanding about magic has come from her observing her coworkers and overhearing their conversations when they speak on such matters.
 
Though Braedeyn understands how socializing and people work, she has no social skills herself, in the fact she struggles to be charismatic and read the mood.

Morality & Philosophy

Braedeyn has a morbid morality, for the longest she felt if you died it was because you were too weak to live. Now she has friends who aren't fighters it's changed- mostly.
She believes in a strong work ethic and for people to carry their own weight. She dislikes incompetency especially when it effects her work.
She would rather be brutally honest than guard someone's feelings which causes her to have limited friends.
