Born on the roads, Wellby is quite accustomed with the many cultures and lands of Iromar. He was raised by a travelling band who found him on the side of a road during their travels, so he has never met his true parents. However, the members of the band became his family and they taught him their ways as they traveled. While travelling, Wellby also became rather fond of cooking and learned many recipes in his travels. During his time travelling with the band, he was approached by a fey who blessed him and revealed to him that he would become a champion of his people if he left to become a bard. When Wellby grew of age, he decided to attend the Bard's College of Carrano to further his musical career and to explore the culinary scene of the Imperial City.
