Aeson has lived in the woods near Alby for as long as any of the residents can remember. Coming out every now and then to get an update on the goings on as well as provide aid as he is able. To many, he is crotchety Old Man Aeson, a hermit who doesn't interact with the public often. Though the history of Krog, and even deeper, the history of the world hold him in a different regard.

Personal history
Aeson was once the chosen champion of the Goddess Shadoll, and even more, they were husband and wife. During the Fall, he was sent to Krog to set up a new home for them far from the wars that were ongoing, however, upon arrival, Aeson felt a deep, soul-wrenching shattering, and knew deep down that his wife was lost to him forever. Since then, he has attempted to find her body on numerous occasions, but the constant wars of Krog have kept him from venturing out. With the news of the new settlement, Aeson has seen it as a sign that his time to move on has come. Though his blade may have dulled in his time in seclusion, he began to write his final words to Shadoll, in the form of a song.
Education
Minimal in the way of formal education, Aeson is still quite wise to the ways of nature, and holds a vast knowledge of history. It is not an understatement to say that he has forgotten more about history than many others will learn in their entire lifetime.
Employment
Aeson typically lives as a hermit. Taking care of his own needs, and rarely interacting with others. Though, it is a known event that he is a skilled craftsmen, and was instrumental in building the bridge of Alby.
Mental Trauma
Aeson has reached a point, where he has begun to feel that Shadoll lives until he has seen where she fell. Deep down, he knows this is false, but he can't seem to let go of the hope that they can be reunited again.
Morality & Philosophy
Aeson has seen the worst that the world could possibly offer, and sees the events in his darkest dreams. As a result, the affairs of the typical human seems petty, and worthless. He appreciates the human desire for growth and security, but has grown tired of what seems to be the constant need for war. Though not a pacifist, Aeson is rarely quick to draw blades. He has seen too much death to continue to spread it.

Aeson's motivation is to venture north, and find the place where Shadoll fell. He sees the settlement as a way out, and a sign that his time for closure has come.
