Deidre is the Robber Prince of Sceya, a legendary cut-throat defender of the people of East Sceya and an alternative to imperial authority in the region. Songs about his exploits are sung all over Dain by those who oppose The Gold Empire, and many taverns in East Sceya sing them to show their loyalty to their Prince. Deidre, with his strange yellow eyes and dark hair, can inspire a strange fervour and loyalty in many folk, and has gathered to his side a small army deep in the forrest. He and Prins Andreas Ari fought many years ago, their battles scarring East Sceya, but for the last twenty years an uneasy peace has reigned, with neither willing to cast East Sceya into war which would harm thousands of innocents.
