Raised in the slums, he was caught stealing from the church and offered to either go to the priory or a jail cell. Never one to miss out on an opportunity, he quickly assumed his role and began working it to his advantage.
Born into the barrens of Phildwarwelfia, Ohron’s parents are still scrabbling to make ends meet. Ahron Brownthumb and Lyndia Farsight had (5) children, with Ohron being the youngest. Ahron continues to toil away as a general laborer in the mines, with Lyndia works as a shift leader in the local laundry. As the youngest in a family barely surviving, Ohron had plenty of freedom in the slums, and lots of time to get into trouble.
With a silvery tongue he managed to escape the worst of any punishment and built relationships with the city watch and head watchman. This proved immensely important when the city watch was tipped off to him having “absconded” with some of the vestments of the Church of Erathis. The High Priest wanted him flogged and “marked” as a thief, but the Head Watchman, Joric Stonefist, convinced him to allow Ohron a chance to learn discipline and respect by entering service to the church.
For Ohron, this was the first time he didn’t have to worry about having an filthy bed to sleep in or enough to eat. He saw an opportunity for advancement both within the church as a healer and by being available to the criminal element through some of his old contacts growing up. Never too good for a bribe, he faithfully tithes 10% of all gains (honorable or not) back to the church.
He was recently granted the title of church sexton, or caretaker. He has been sent out from the church under the guise of needing to raise funds and possibly locate exotic materials for a new addition to the church. In truth, his work healing local criminals drew a little too much heat for the comfort of the High Priest, Goordiin Brightcloth.
