Lex is a chaotic mess of a Scion of Loki, who's just trying not to (irreperably) break the world.
Appearance
Physical Description
*Usually*, red-haired and somewhere between skinny and lithe, Lex is about 5'10", half an inch shorter than Nix.
Body Features
The most notable feature of their body - at least to Lex - is the twisting, jagged Lichtenberg figures that cover their left arm, starting from a knot of white scar-tissue on their palm, and winding jagged threads up to their shoulder and across the upper left side of their chest and back, ending above their heart.
Others might notice the *Vegvisar* tattoed on the inside of their right wrist, fewer have seen the abstract image of Sleipnir on their left ankle - an eight-legged version of the Uffington White Horse - or the twisting circular Celtic knot on their shoulder, spun from living fire and stitched into their skin by the dragon Stoorworm, who - contrary to popular folklore, is not dead, merely... diminished.
Facial Features
Lex's face varies in detail from day to day, and they don't tend to keep a lot of photographs of themselves to remind them of what their face used to look like.
Generally, they favour features that are sharply angular and androgynous, but the details can shift sharply on a whim.
Identifying Characteristics
The only thing that is fixed are their eyes, bright green and ablaze, glittering with amber and gold flames.

Personal history
Lex was a trash can baby – abandoned on Annie Oakley drive when they were a few months old. The St Juno's Ranch for Children took them in and named them – Felix, because they were lucky to be found, and Oakley, after the street they were found on. A problem child from the start – almost as soon as they could walk, Lex learned all the ins and outs of the orphanage, escaping whenever the opportunity raised its head, and only going back when on the edge of starving, or someone caught them shoplifting. From a young age, they got to know the flip-side of Vegas – the tired streets during the day, the poor scrounging in the alleys behind the Strip, the hookers, the crooks and the pawn shop owners, and they taught Lex how to cut a deck, hotwire a car, and where to hit a man if he’s coming at you in an alley.
By sixteen, Lex had abandoned the orphanage for good, got themself a fake ID and started turning tricks – mostly card tricks, although there were a few desperate times and desperate measures. They worked their way up from street corners, to flairtending in strip clubs, to a ritzy gig entertaining in one of the big casinos – until they got busted for counting cards in their time off. Now they work in the Smoky Eyes Cabaret, and it’s a much better fit: bursting at the seams with glitter and smoke, feathers and mirrors, it feels like a little piece of home.
Lex’s mother is Loki, and the trickster god’s mark on them is stronger than most, maybe because of the months they spent with them before they wound up in that dumpster. Lex can barely stand being the same person for more than a few hours at a time – every night, on-stage or off, they’re adopting a new, extravagant alter ego, dabbling in drag, or seeing how many people they can convince they’re a Kennedy or a Kardashian. Vibrant and fluid, and everything they do is outrageous to the point that it feels like magic. But, Loki is ‘misunderstood’ for a reason, and Lex didn’t just inherit their mother’s good qualities. Always looking for more from the world, Lex found their way to the edges of the Underground early, but that almost makes it worse – they knows that magic is real, they can even touch it, but the magic of cultists and collectors is bland and hoarded in dribs and drabs – nothing like the lightning sizzle of multicoloured fire that haunts Lex every time they close their eyes. Nevertheless, like an alcoholic in a bar with nothing but flat, warm beer, they can’t give it up. Trickster spirits recognise them as kind, occultists share bunk spell formulae in night clubs and their bloodline is an open secret.
Education
Lex ran away from the orphanage a little before they turned sixteen, and that is also when they dropped out of school. Their lack of formal schooling is something they are privately ashamed of, particularly when dealing with Ryann and Mercy, who have so much education.
Of course uneducated doesn't mean stupid by any stretch, and Lex has tried to make up for it with informal learning. Given that they managed to convince a dragon to teach them? They're not doing too badly, at least in their areas of expertise. But broad academics; History, Literature, Mathematics and Science? Lex's knowledge base in those subjects is eclectic at best, full of glaring blind spots that they very badly want to hide.
Employment
Lex works at the Smoky Eyes Cabaret, a risque little venue just off the Strip. They are a performer, twice a week and thrice during peak season, and their show is the place's star attraction. Honestly, Lex has the skill, and even the reputation, to be working a far larger, more prestigious stage, they just lack the... temperament...
Accomplishments & Achievements
Lex has a hard time feeling like they earned any of their acomplishments. Most of their work is subtle, a nudge here or there, a thread laid in a larger tapestry, a tiny change that cascades into a larger effect. And they work by subverting Fate.
Considering they hate Fate and everything it stands for... it is hard to think of anything accomplished through those means as their own accomplishment, and it is hard to trust anything accomplished by other means as being genuinely theirs, not Fated.
Failures & Embarrassments
Lex's first, only boyfriend, Michael, became Fatebound as an Unrequited Paramour to a daughter of Zeus. He got increasingly obsessed with her as she relentlessly pulled on that Fatebinding for power. So Lex tracked the Scion down, and asked her to... share. Even if Michael loved her more, Lex didn't want to lose him entirely. It backfired. Michael stopped talking to Lex entirely, and Lex let him go. A few weeks later, Michael was caught in the crossfire of a fight with some monster, and died.
Mental Trauma
Lex has deeply ingrained self-destructive tendencies, partly a result of underlying mental illness, partly emotional trauma, but mostly, the Fate-induced gravity of their Wyrd. For years, Lex was deeply infatuated with the Fatalistic mindset that is so appealing to many of the Aesir Scions - and thinking that everything was outside their control anyway made it easier to deal with the more... unpleasant realities of being a minor alone and homeless in Las Vegas.
Nix is the one who pushed the pendulum to swing back the other way, and since then, Lex has been fighting, chasing Audacity in furious defiance of Fate and Wyrd, desperately trying to outrun Fatalism, and everything it brings with it. It's not a *healthy* coping mechanism, by any stretch, but so long as Lex is running, so long as they are focused on breaking something else, the siren call of their Wyrd is easier to ignore.
Of course, when the thing that you have set your sights on breaking is Fate, the fundamental underlying order of the universe... there is collateral damage.
Morality & Philosophy
The whole World is a lie, a soap bubble of faith wrapped over the raw Primordial Chaos. And if you tell it the rirght story, you can change the shape of the World.
person.sexuality
Lex doesn't really have much preference in terms of physique or gender for their partners, so much as demeanour. Lex craves intimacy and affection, and they never learnt how to express or ask for that in a platonic way, so they get it from sex. However, considering that they are absolutely terrified by the prospect of romance, this poses some difficulties. They have a long string of anonymous strangers, one night stands with kind eyes, someone who they can fall completely in love with for a night, and who will fulfill that need for emotional as well as physical intimacy, and then never see again.
person.gender_identity
Lex's gender identity is fluid, although they're still figuring out the details of what that means in their case.
Known Languages
Lex speaks English and Spanish, Gaelic - although their grammar is somewhat archaic, considering they learnt it from a millennia-old dragon - Old Norse and modern Icelandic and a smattering of Japanese.
Languages are something Lex picks up easily, and enjoys learning, and their extraordinary control of their own body language means they can communicate a lot with a little.
Personality
Motivation
One way or another, if Lex survives, they are going to tear the World to pieces. Considering that last time they died, Hela kicked them out...
The current world is not good enough. The petty injustices are not so much what concerns Lex, so much as the entire underlying metaphysical structure. Fate, the shape of the Afterlives, Gods and their intentions... the world isn't free, and the choices that people make are constrained by invisible threads, Fate chaining people into the path of stories. Adn that isn't good enough. Lex will never be satisfied in a world where Fate exists, so Lex will destroy fate. Unless Fate gets them first.

Mitsuki is a friend and occasional lover. She's a one-tailed kitsune who went wandering to 'see the World' a few decades ago, and fell in love with the glitz and glamour of Vegas. She's something of a celebrity in the cultclubs, and can usually be found enjoying the attention in the Moon Rabbit Garden - a cultclub dedicated to the Kami (and significant Japanophile demographic among cultclubbers) which blends a hypermodern Harajuku rave aesthetic with a traditional rooftop garden populated with bonsai trees and paper lanterns.
Joey Rodriguez
Path: That Vegas Magic
Permanent Rating: 1
Tags: Influential
Joey is a fire-twirler booked for regular shows at the Paris, and a well-known face around the Strip. Lex knows him from their own year-long stint at the Linq, a friendship defined by friendly artistic rivalry and getting drunk together after work. Joey is a cheerful, fun guy, a tremendous flirt and a bit of a pyromaniac.
Helga
Path: Back Alleys and Bordellos
Rating: 1
Tags: Informant
Somewhere between her late thirties and early forties, and well on the thin side, Helga is one of hundreds of streetwalkers around Vegas. She doesn't dress as provocatively as some of the younger girls - her client base is mainly composed of regulars, who come to her more for a listening ear than anything else. Even after years in this business, she's still kind, and keeps an eye out for the younger girls - and boys.
Religious Views
For A Scion, Lex isn't particularly religious. Generally, the only time of the year they actually observe any rites is the winter Solstice, and that is more about personal reflection. Usually, when they do pray, it is... verging on transactional. Thanks, acknowledgement, in exchange for a favour granted.
Social Aptitude
Lex is very good at using people, manipulating them, reading them and maneuvring them into position. Everything else... not so much.
