Questions from Mark:
How old are you? 87, considered a young member of the clan and only recently fully trained in the clans druidic training
What is your role within the tribe? Are you an elder druid, or someone of different rank/role?
Imagine a junior developer, but for Botany
Where are your tribe currently stationed?
Does anyone in your tribe know about your powers? Yes, during training as a youth, my teachers noticed these skills were much greater than that of my peers. I was taken into focused training by the elders of the clan as an aside o traditional lessons to help focus these skills. While initially, and to some extend still, the clan and its elders do not know/believe I am a super, but that I am just more at-one with nature. The elders of the clan forbid me from practicing elemental blasts, believeing it to be unnatural and abusive to nature - unsettling the balance - however in private I honed this skill without assistance.
What is your relationship within your tribe as well? Do you have any family, and are there any key elders/leaders that I should be aware of? As my powers are hidden mostly from the tribe, I am not the star child or anything like that, an exceptionally good student of our beliefs and as such am slightly more advanced in botany and herbal healing compaired to my peers. While I have a father (
Akkar AA Amberside )and a mother (
Elwin Amberside nee Hastos ), i am an only child. It is uncommon in Elvin culture to have more than 1 or 2 offspring as the act of childbirth is literally lifedraining
Based on your political views - what stops you becoming a eco-terrorist? Cathbad is unsure if the emerging supers are a result of this unpinning of the natural balance or if it is simply natures evolution, the devision within the Dal make her unsure of her convictions. Cathbad is not friendly to people she deem to be against nature, but has no issue with 'regular' folk and those that mean well.
Thoughts on your interactions with
Wizard Weeks - Cathbad enjoys interacting with WW, whilst she was initially introduced due to her powers. In the past when WW and cathbad have worked together, it has been a very mutual arangment, WW is happy to impart knowledge onto Cathbad and has on ocasion spent better parts of time explaining 'modern' concepts to her whilst she further emplains the Dals culture and nature to him. WW has asked for Cathbads help before on minor super issues and for facilitation revitlising healing medicine for associates of WW.
Since the Dal are nomadic, they've worked to some extent with Weeks before. If they see anyone with super power potential, they contact Weeks, and inform him. Depending on the situation, Weeks might send someone out to help, or he might let the meta-creature be. At least one person in your clan has a far-speech stone to contact Weeks. (Think walky talky magic stone)
As the elders hold the far-speech stone, they control interctions with Wizard Weeks. As the Dal believe super powers have come due to the unravelling harmony with nature they are reluctant to aid super leverage their powers for gain, but believe WW wishes to help supers deal with their 'sickness' and such report back to WW when they encounter supers
Wizard Weeks has asked for your help on a few jobs, has this caused problems within your tribe, especially based on your role? While the tribe is friendly to WW, there is a growing divide within the tribe as to super powers. most elders believe it is nature calling out against the modernisation of the world, but a growing minority believe it is simply the evolution of nature. While none of the tribe hold the supers responsible, they are more likely to point blame at the emerging industrial moguls. The tribe and myself have no issues in dealing with WW and are happy to 'loan' me while the Dal stay in the region, but i have yet to spend a year away from the Tribe with Dal
